#MarginsBookselling Month is a celebration of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled, and Neurodiverse booksellers and their communities. This is a community collaboration coordinated by The Word | A Storytelling Sanctuary.

It's that time of year again!

Our second annual #MarginsBookselling Month, a celebration of bookstores and booksellers from the margins, is well underway and we invite you to participate in this year's celebration. The main festivities will take place in October but we've planned events all year round to celebrate YOU!

In 2022, we’ve already:

-- Created the monthly Margins Bookselling Newsletter, an industry newsletter where we take center stage

-- Hosted exclusive bookseller pre-pub events and

-- We're planning even more workshops, opportunities to build community, and more!

During our inaugural year in 2021, we created

-- a beautiful map (https://findmarginsbookstores.thewordfordiversity.org/) to uplift bookstores and for readers to discover bookstores in their area they might not have been aware of before,

-- a journal published by Chronicle Books with details about the participating stores,

-- Libro.fm gave away free audiobook subscriptions,

-- we hosted virtual events with authors like Michelle Zauner, Mariame Kaba, and R.O. Kwon,

-- created the #MarginsChoice Award,

-- and spotlighted participating stores on our social media as did like Reese’s Book Club and Bookshop.org.

If you are a bookseller who would like to participate, please fill out this form.

If you are a bookstore owner or manager who would like to participate, please fill out this form.

Margins Bookselling Month reminds me how powerful books can be in shaping our journeys. As a PhD student who also works part-time at Last-Minute Assignments, I often reflect on my own college years when academic challenges felt overwhelming. Those experiences motivated me to support others facing similar struggles. I recently came across discussions about how students search for ways to Complete My cybersecurity Assignment, and it highlighted how valuable guidance and learning resources can be. Stories and books continue to inspire resilience, growth, and new possibilities.

This initiative is a wonderful way to amplify diverse voices within the bookselling community. Creating dedicated spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodiverse booksellers fosters essential representation in literature. Much like using a GCSE Physics Equation Sheet Sheet to streamline complex calculations, having structured support and resources like this helps booksellers build thriving, inclusive environments more effectively.

Seeing this wonderful initiative to support diverse voices in bookselling highlights how much deep value lies in preserving community traditions. It immediately made me think of my own morning routine of checking the live gold rate in pakistan to help my family prepare for our traditional wedding celebrations.

Been browsing Poki Games when I need to unwind after long study sessions. They organize everything by category which makes it easy to find something that matches your mood. The multiplayer section has some surprisingly fun stuff too.

This is an excellent and informative post that highlights an important initiative. I appreciate how clearly you outlined the purpose and encouraged participation—it makes it accessible for readers at all levels. The way you explained the topic was very clear and helpful. I recently came across a similar discussion on a review blog, and it offered an interesting perspective as well. In a different context, I’ve noticed similar clarity in discussions about https://www.goprogaragedoorrepair.com/, where straightforward communication really makes a difference. Thank you for putting together such a valuable and encouraging piece.
