New Voices & First Book Loves: Vanshika Prusty's Hunger Games Love

Today in our First Book Loves series we get to highlight an upcoming voice! We're excited to introduce you to Vanshika Prusty, writer, bookstagramer, voice to be on the lookout for!

From Vanshika:

The first book that got me into reading was The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and it made me want to read more books like it. I don’t know what it says about me as a reader that all I wanted to read were world-ending novels, but it did influence the way I wrote because I found myself always writing books that we’re dealing with one or more political issues—like women’s issues, LGBTQIAP+ issues, People Of Colour issues, and the nuances of how those issue intersect. It’s possibly the reason why none of the books I’ve ever written are light, and deal with loads of political aspects of the life of any individual.

More about Vanshika:

Vanshika Prusty has spent her life between the pages of books, on trips across the world, sometimes writing, mostly reading, with a special place in her heart for anything magical that’ll sweep her into a different universe.
