Editor-Writer Mentorship Post: Mentee Publishing Deal Announcements!

Seeing mentees land actual deals shows just how critical that editorial guidance is, especially for marginalized voices trying to figure out query letters and contract norms. Breaking into niche formats like graphic novels can feel double as confusing without a mentor that knows the landscape, like you’re kind of guessing in the dark. Having someone help you polish a pitch packet or navigate specialized fields like comic book publishing Canada completely changes the odds for an emerging creator trying to turn a rough draft into a published book, and it honestly makes the whole process feel less opaque.
